It is with pleasure and excitement that we invite you to an exclusive fundraising event on September 28th at The Studio at St. Ann's Warehouse in DUMBO, Brooklyn to benefit The Soft Foot Alliance. The initiative is led by Brent Stapelkamp, the researcher who last tracked Cecil the Lion, and his wife, permaculture extraordinaire, Laurie Simpson to improve life for those residing on the boundary of Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park by promoting sustainable coexistence with wildlife and the environment.

The evening will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, an auction, a short documentary screening and a gallery display of Brent Stapelkamp's photography. Brent will speak in person at the event and will be around all evening, along with other special guests.

Brent Stapelkamp is a wildlife photographer and the researcher who last tracked and collared Cecil the Lion. Brent has studied lions in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe for over nine years for Oxford University's Wildlife and Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU).

Laurie and Brent founded The Soft Foot Alliance in 2016 which serves as a platform for the design and implementation of long-term sustainable solutions that promote human-wildlife coexistence. Lion, Hyena, Elephant, Baboon and Honey Badger are the focal species, as they have the greatest impact on the livelihoods of the people who live on the park's boundaries. They have far-reaching ambitions to see and be part of a sustainable way of life whereby we are not just slowing down our impact on the planet but improving it.

We hope you will join us for this special evening!
